About

Our mission

Together with partners we created the EdTech Workspace. A vibrant, collaborative space that fosters innovation, connection and growth. Being an accessible meeting point for the EdTech ecosystem, as a shared living room and venue for meetings and events, we offer an informal environment for companies and organizations dedicated to co-work & co-create. The space will serve also as a launching pad for early-stage founders & teams by offering (flexible) office space.

Becoming
a resident

Our workspace is designed for the whole ecosystem, but provides a more structural residence to early stage EdTech founders & teams looking for a collaborative environment. These are dynamic, growth-focused founders or teams passionate about innovation, sharing knowledge and making a lasting impact on the education sector. Ideal residents are those who believe in the power of technology to transform learning experiences, enhance accessibility and drive educational equity.


You find the requirements for becoming a resident here. After a personal follow-up, we will decide together if there is a match.

  • EdTech focus
    The founder or team should be involved in developing or implementing technology solutions aimed at improving education, whether it’s through learning tools, platforms, educational content or data-driven solutions.
  • Start-up phase
    The workspace is intended for founders working solo or with a small team. To ensure this focus, each company is limited to a maximum of four desks.
  • Centered around collaboration
    Startups should be open to collaboration, knowledge sharing and supporting fellow residents. This workspace thrives on collective growth, so a willingness to engage with others is key.
  • Commitment to shared values
    Every resident must endorse and commit to our clearly stated shared values, actively living them out in practice and lead by example for others.

Collaborating with EdTech companies: that is the central theme within the EdTech team. Educational institutions will need to collaborate with EdTech companies in new ways to innovate more sustainably and better safeguard public values. That’s why we actively explore (new) forms of collaboration that contribute to this goal. In doing so, we help realize the promises of Npuls: continuously providing the best education and learning without barriers.

Dutch EdTech is the national foundation built by and for EdTech innovators. It believes that sustainable innovation in learning starts with a strong, connected ecosystem, where startups, educators, researchers, and policymakers each play a vital role. The foundation supports startups and scaleups to grow and create impact, both in the Netherlands and internationally.

Boosting Edtech from the Heart of the Netherlands. ROM Utrecht Region helps Edtech startups grow, scale, and go global. We invest in innovative companies and support their international ambitions. Utrecht is a leading Edtech hub—with top content creators, platform builders, education experts, and publishers. It’s the ideal place to turn bold ideas into impactful solutions. Whether you're launching or landing, we’re here to help you thrive.

IPON is the leading education and technology fair in the Netherlands. It brings together teachers, school leaders, and EdTech professionals. The event showcases innovations in digital learning, AI, privacy and security, and IT for education. IPON serves as a national platform for sharing ideas about the future of learning. In addition to the biennial fair, our e-magazine is published four times a year, and we send out a monthly newsletter.
